Moodiness
I have had a rough weekend. I am just not coming out of my normal hormonal funk like usual. Yesterday and today I have just been way more irritable than is normal for this time. On the positive side, the weather has been really sunny and nice and my husband has been dealing pretty well with the terrible moodiness. We ended up having supper with A and G last night, late, but it was nice to get out of the house and spend time with friends. It was good to chat with my girl friend while the guys had time together too. Today we went to Salem to look at a couple of project cars today and it was nice. Don is really seriously considering a '67 that the guy had, it was really really nice with a working engine. It is less project than the other cars we had been looking at which means it would be drivable sooner, but more cost up front while less down the road. We will just have to see what happens. Tonight we have just been hanging out, we had pasta salad for supper and shared some wine. Tomorrow back to work...and I hope my mood will be better.

Moonlodge Day
I took it easy today. I finished my book and did some laundry and napped. Not much else. Don is out on a ride now and we'll have supper when he gets home. I am ready for an early night tonight and hoping for an easy-ish day at work tomorrow.

Post Holiday Doldrums
It was wonderful to have a three day weekend after my first full week back at work. Don was happy for that too. Work has been going well for him at his new job, he seems to be adapting to the new computers well and has actually been getting off work on time for a change! We had a nice weekend, spent some time at the coast and lots of time with friends! It was very sunny and warm the whole weekend which was very nice. We also played with our new Wii and finally were able to get the racing cows (my fav game!) and a second remote. Then it was back to work today. It was not a terrible day, but I am certainly not feeling my best. I am very hormonal and today was a borderline rage-full day. Let it suffice to say I have had a very.short. fuse. Now my stomach is acting up too...I hope it is nothing serious. I think I will pack it in early tonight and hope for a better attitude tomorrow. Blargh.

Tangled in Red Tape
Argh. Today I had a vision of how my day was going to go. I had planned on going to the DMV and then the social security office to get my name change done. I *thought* I had all the paperwork I needed but once at the DMV was told that my birth certificate was not a certified copy and could not be accepted. Blargh. The social security office wants you to have your new drivers license first, so there went that. So I headed home to get the paper work to request a copy of my birth certificate and then to the post office to get a money order and get it sent off. Getting into the car to go to the post office I smacked my head on the car somehow. It really hurt. I did manage to get the paper work sent off and am hoping for a quick turn around. My head still hurts and I just hope tomorrow can go a little more to plan.

Pain Sunglasses
Don and I have been battling a little cold type thing for a bit since the wedding. Mostly it has not been too bad, just a little snot-nose...until today. My sinuses are just hurting like crazy. It makes it very hard to get motivated to do any work even while I am at work. I am glad tomorrow is my day off.

The Unavoidable "Thud"
Well, everything is back to routine. Back to real life. I know this is all part of the great thing called life...but still...
The rest of the honeymoon was great. It poured down rain the entire second day and it was a windy stormy day at the ocean. We took the opportunity to go to the aquarium and really enjoyed seeing all the creatures. I especially like the octopus and the touch pools. After the aquarium we found a little Irish pub and had a snack there in the early afternoon and then had supper at a walking distance restaurant. It was wonderful to get back to the hotel, turn on the fire place and open the sliding door to let the ocean noise and wind in! The next morning was absolutely beautiful and we stopped on the way home to walk on the beach again. It was nice to get home to the kitties and our little house that afternoon. We did a little bit around the house the next day and got ready for Don's ride on Saturday. Early Saturday we got up and headed to the start, I dropped him off, stopped at the house to load the car and headed back to the coast. It was a wonderful sunny day. I made sure to remember my sun screen! I got to the beach and walked by the ocean for a long long time and then made my way back to the finish area to scope out my spot. I ate a little picnic lunch while I waited for riders to start coming in. After a bit Don arrived and we got him changed and fed and we headed to another coast town for a beer fest. We checked in to our hotel and were close enough to walk to the beer fest, which was great. We had a good time there, but made it an early night. Sunday we got up early and headed home. We got unpacked again and worked on laundry and getting things ship shape again. We got together with our friends A and G for supper and had a good visit with them. It seemed like forever since we had seen them. Things were just so busy with the wedding. Then yesterday it was back to work. Back to routine. It was not terrible, just a little bit strange after all the good chaos and time off. I know that things will even out again and we do have some future plans to look forward to...and we can make things as exciting as we want I suppose!

Married Life
Whew! The past few days have been a giant blur! The wedding was amazing and went off without a hitch. Our ceremony was perfect, my dress was stunning, Don looked amazing in his Zoot suit, the food was superb....it was all in all a pretty perfect day! Thanks to everyone who helped out and a special thank you to my parents and sister for all their hard work. It was wonderful!!!!!
We spent the next two days after the wedding going with my family. We went to the coast on Sunday and to the zoo on Monday. It was a chaotic good time. We loved spending time with everyone and enjoyed the hectic rush.
Now we are back at the coast for a little one on one time...the honeymoon! We are staying at a beautiful beach side hotel, with a balcony off our room and a lovely view of the ocean. So far we have been lucky with the weather and we had a good day today, walking around the old town, the beach and the shops. We had lunch at Local Ocean and it was yummy as always! Tomorrow we may go to the aquarium in the morning and spend the afternoon on the beach if the weather holds out. Don is currently scouring the brochures to find somewhere for dinner tonight....we didn't realize most places here are closed on Tuesday...ah well, there is always the Rogue, I guess...or Local Ocean again!! No worries here, just two happy honeymooners!

Wedding Day!
Good morning! The big day is finally here. The past two days have been utter chaos. But chaos of the best kind. We have had a great time with my family and are looking forward to seeing all of Don's family today. Currently we are getting the last few things gathered and taken care of at home...vacuuming, laundry, cat litter box...yippee. I am feeling pretty ok today, just a little bit of a nervous tummy...I guess I have a few butterflies! OK, I am off to finish up...happy wedding to us!

Tomorrow, Tomorrow......
I have been getting ready for tomorrow. I did a bunch of house cleaning and laundry today. It was nice though because I could take my time in doing it and get things done in my own way. I think we are ready for the multi-stage arrivals of family and friends through the day tomorrow and Friday... as ready as we can be at any rate. I have my lists and stacks and notebook and my "planning crew and help crew" behind me. I just hope I can keep it together.
Today is also Don's last day at his current work. So far from what he has told me, it has not been as bad as he thought it would be. Unfortunately his current boss keeps trying to change his mind and Don says that is getting annoying. At least today is the last day he will have to deal with that.
Some of his co-workers want to take him out tonight for a beer or two to say bye, so I think we will be meeting up with them after he gets done at work. His boss is not invited.
As for the rest of tonight, the goal is just to get a good sleep and rest easy. My parents will be arriving in the afternoon sometime and people will continue to arrive from there on. It will be a busy few days, but good I am sure.
Confidential to Ang: You are both in my thoughts. I am so sorry for your loss.

Life Changes
Not only is the wedding not even a week away, Don is leaving his current job for much much greener pastures. Recently there have been some changes at his current place of employ that have not been in his best interest and things had quickly been turning sour. It was definitely time for a change. He has a new job already lined up, still right here in town, working for another person he knows well, trusts and respects. He will start there right after the honeymoon. It is another small stress for me, but I know in the short and long term a much better place to be.
Now we are in the home stretch, getting the final things set and ready for the wedding. We are still working on getting Don's ring sorted out, we have struck out three times and finally think we have the right one coming. Hopefully it will arrive on Thursday and be perfect. Not much else to do really, except enjoy the calm and quiet before the big day.

High Anxiety
I hate it when this happens. Last night I just couldn't fall a sleep. I was just thinking and thinking, or more like worrying and worrying. I know that things will go just fine for the wedding and surrounding days...I just have to get my brain to know it.
Today is a chore day. Don is out cleaning a pile of bike parts and then is planning on doing the yard and pressure washing the driveway. I am going to do a few final things in the two spare rooms and get some other house chores taken care of to make my Wednesday easier.
Yesterday I worked in the morning and we ran errands together in the afternoon. We went and got two new tires for my car, got a fire box, and did a few other running around type things. Then we came home and had a quiet evening at home. I finished the book I was reading and plan on starting another one at some point today...it keeps my brain busy, not worrying.
I will have two days of work this week and then prep time. I am very much looking forward to seeing all the family and I know once things get going it will all be just fine.
