Moodiness
I have had a rough weekend. I am just not coming out of my normal hormonal funk like usual. Yesterday and today I have just been way more irritable than is normal for this time. On the positive side, the weather has been really sunny and nice and my husband has been dealing pretty well with the terrible moodiness. We ended up having supper with A and G last night, late, but it was nice to get out of the house and spend time with friends. It was good to chat with my girl friend while the guys had time together too. Today we went to Salem to look at a couple of project cars today and it was nice. Don is really seriously considering a '67 that the guy had, it was really really nice with a working engine. It is less project than the other cars we had been looking at which means it would be drivable sooner, but more cost up front while less down the road. We will just have to see what happens. Tonight we have just been hanging out, we had pasta salad for supper and shared some wine. Tomorrow back to work...and I hope my mood will be better.

Moonlodge Day
I took it easy today. I finished my book and did some laundry and napped. Not much else. Don is out on a ride now and we'll have supper when he gets home. I am ready for an early night tonight and hoping for an easy-ish day at work tomorrow.

Post Holiday Doldrums
It was wonderful to have a three day weekend after my first full week back at work. Don was happy for that too. Work has been going well for him at his new job, he seems to be adapting to the new computers well and has actually been getting off work on time for a change! We had a nice weekend, spent some time at the coast and lots of time with friends! It was very sunny and warm the whole weekend which was very nice. We also played with our new Wii and finally were able to get the racing cows (my fav game!) and a second remote. Then it was back to work today. It was not a terrible day, but I am certainly not feeling my best. I am very hormonal and today was a borderline rage-full day. Let it suffice to say I have had a very.short. fuse. Now my stomach is acting up too...I hope it is nothing serious. I think I will pack it in early tonight and hope for a better attitude tomorrow. Blargh.

Tangled in Red Tape
Argh. Today I had a vision of how my day was going to go. I had planned on going to the DMV and then the social security office to get my name change done. I *thought* I had all the paperwork I needed but once at the DMV was told that my birth certificate was not a certified copy and could not be accepted. Blargh. The social security office wants you to have your new drivers license first, so there went that. So I headed home to get the paper work to request a copy of my birth certificate and then to the post office to get a money order and get it sent off. Getting into the car to go to the post office I smacked my head on the car somehow. It really hurt. I did manage to get the paper work sent off and am hoping for a quick turn around. My head still hurts and I just hope tomorrow can go a little more to plan.

Pain Sunglasses
Don and I have been battling a little cold type thing for a bit since the wedding. Mostly it has not been too bad, just a little snot-nose...until today. My sinuses are just hurting like crazy. It makes it very hard to get motivated to do any work even while I am at work. I am glad tomorrow is my day off.

The Unavoidable "Thud"
Well, everything is back to routine. Back to real life. I know this is all part of the great thing called life...but still...
The rest of the honeymoon was great. It poured down rain the entire second day and it was a windy stormy day at the ocean. We took the opportunity to go to the aquarium and really enjoyed seeing all the creatures. I especially like the octopus and the touch pools. After the aquarium we found a little Irish pub and had a snack there in the early afternoon and then had supper at a walking distance restaurant. It was wonderful to get back to the hotel, turn on the fire place and open the sliding door to let the ocean noise and wind in! The next morning was absolutely beautiful and we stopped on the way home to walk on the beach again. It was nice to get home to the kitties and our little house that afternoon. We did a little bit around the house the next day and got ready for Don's ride on Saturday. Early Saturday we got up and headed to the start, I dropped him off, stopped at the house to load the car and headed back to the coast. It was a wonderful sunny day. I made sure to remember my sun screen! I got to the beach and walked by the ocean for a long long time and then made my way back to the finish area to scope out my spot. I ate a little picnic lunch while I waited for riders to start coming in. After a bit Don arrived and we got him changed and fed and we headed to another coast town for a beer fest. We checked in to our hotel and were close enough to walk to the beer fest, which was great. We had a good time there, but made it an early night. Sunday we got up early and headed home. We got unpacked again and worked on laundry and getting things ship shape again. We got together with our friends A and G for supper and had a good visit with them. It seemed like forever since we had seen them. Things were just so busy with the wedding. Then yesterday it was back to work. Back to routine. It was not terrible, just a little bit strange after all the good chaos and time off. I know that things will even out again and we do have some future plans to look forward to...and we can make things as exciting as we want I suppose!

Married Life
Whew! The past few days have been a giant blur! The wedding was amazing and went off without a hitch. Our ceremony was perfect, my dress was stunning, Don looked amazing in his Zoot suit, the food was superb....it was all in all a pretty perfect day! Thanks to everyone who helped out and a special thank you to my parents and sister for all their hard work. It was wonderful!!!!!
We spent the next two days after the wedding going with my family. We went to the coast on Sunday and to the zoo on Monday. It was a chaotic good time. We loved spending time with everyone and enjoyed the hectic rush.
Now we are back at the coast for a little one on one time...the honeymoon! We are staying at a beautiful beach side hotel, with a balcony off our room and a lovely view of the ocean. So far we have been lucky with the weather and we had a good day today, walking around the old town, the beach and the shops. We had lunch at Local Ocean and it was yummy as always! Tomorrow we may go to the aquarium in the morning and spend the afternoon on the beach if the weather holds out. Don is currently scouring the brochures to find somewhere for dinner tonight....we didn't realize most places here are closed on Tuesday...ah well, there is always the Rogue, I guess...or Local Ocean again!! No worries here, just two happy honeymooners!
