Diabetes

We recently found out that the young son of Don's friends S and J has type 1 diabetes. It is a very scary disease, especially when you are only 5 years old. Mostly they are working on diet, but since his body is not producing insulin he does have to have injections after every meal. It is so strange and scary all the different ways our bodies can go haywire. We take for granted that our bodies will continue to work how they are supposed to. They will have a long road ahead of them but I know with care and attention little C will most likely do ok.
